JOB VACANCY ANNOUCEMENT RECRUITMENT OF A SENIOR WAREHOUSEMAN AT ACMS

Context and justification

ACMS (association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social) is recruiting one(01) warehouseman (M/F). The successful candidate will have as primary function of providing support to the warehouseman manager of ACMS's central store operations so as to achieve the objectives in terms of cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness in distribution operations; s/he will be fully responsible for the movement and goods stored in the warehouseman under his/her charge.

ACMS is a member of the populations services international (PSI) network. PSI is an internationally renowned organization, which operates in the field of health and whose programmes are oriented toward malaria, child survival, HIV, and reproductive health.

Duty station: Yaoundé

Type of employment contract: two-years fixed term contract

Start date: October 2015

Category: category 9, grade A of the II tertiary sector of the National collective Trade Agreement.

Job description

Answerable to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouseman shall be expected to:

I- ORGANISATION OF PRODUCT RECEIPT ACTIVITIES

  • Prepare the receipt of product following purchasing orders or donation documentation;
  • Check the delivery received and draft the various receipt reports;
  • Ensure the correct update of record according to arrivals.

II- MANANGEMENT OF PRODUCTS INVENTORIES AND PROMOTIONAL AND PACKAGING MATERIALS

  • Ensure the update of stock tools;
  • Prepare periodic inventories of the central warehouse;
  • Write and submit monthly expiry and stock movement reports on time;
  • Maintain records of expired and damage products;
  • Initiate alert about event at the warehouse (eg: critical threshold reached, arrival of products…)
  • Assess available stocks per products every month and report to the Senior Manager of stocks and Distribution.

III- MANAGEMENT OF PRODUCTS PACKAGING ACTIVITIES AND PROMO-EDUCATIONAL ARTICLES

  • Manage packing teams and packaging planning;
  • Respect packaging standard and procedures;
  • Ensure that the equipment is in good condition, and that labor is sufficient for packaging;
  • Write and submit timely packaging report;

IV- HYGIENE OF THE WAREHOUSE AND EQUIPMENT

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse;
  • Organize maintenance activities of the warehouse and the storage space of products and equipment;
  • Report all the observed data on the state of the facilities or equipment of the warehouse;

V- IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SAFETY AND QUALITY POLICY IN WAREHOUSES

  • Monitor and trace security aspects of the warehouse;
  • Understand and apply the prescribed security measures of the warehouse and inventories;
  • Respect product storage standards;
  • Record temperatures and humidity levels on a daily basis (morning- afternoon – evening) on the physical forms and the electronic board.

Required qualifications and professional experience

  • Be of Cameroonian nationality;
  • Must hold a Bac or GCE “A” +2 in logistic, accounting or management;
  • Must have at least two (02) years of professional experience as a storekeeper;
  • Knowledge of information technologies is required, including MS Office, as well as current accounting software,
  • Management of supplies and Excel;
  • Must be fluent in French, have a good mastery of English
  • Must have specific knowledge of ACMS' product;
  • Familiarity with social marketing or NGOs is a plus.
