  • Drive rapid improvement in contracts, procurement, logistics and transit in Cameroon. 
  • Build Cameroon SCM function in to best in class efficient organization.
  • Establish seamless SCM function; improve functional standard and governance in Cameroon for contracts, procurement, logistics and transit.
  • Coach designated SCM Manager and staff and impart knowledge.

 Streamline tactical contracting and procurement, warehousing and inventory management and move SCM towards value added services.
 Establish and monitor agreed SCM Key Performance Indicators and encourage timely implementation of corrective actions on identified deviations from set goals. 
 Drive rapid improvement in functional standards across all activities at operational level in coordination with designated SCM Manager. Enhance business engagement with internal customers and value add by SCM.
 Implement effective strategies for cost efficiency and process optimization in an ethical and transparent manner.
 Provide effective on-the-job coaching for Contracts, Procurement, Transit and Logistics sections and designated SCM Manager. In logistics, initial focus needs to be on warehouse & inventory management. 
 Assist designated SCM Manager to engage with internal customers to review performance of SCM function and initiate corrective actions as necessary.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent leadership skills, flair for coaching, knowledge transfer and training.
  • Team player with ability to operate in multi-cultural and multi-location environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English. French language skills will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to build relationships with, and effectively challenge and influence diverse department managers.
  • Technology-enabled with ability to work on various technology platforms suitable for the function plus MS office suite of products.

 

 

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 15+ years relevant work experience in onshore/offshore E&P environment with supervisory experience. Previous experience in the West Africa region.
  • Good working knowledge in all facets of Contracts, Procurement, Logistics and transit.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and/or MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply).
Minimum Experience: 15 years
Maximum Experience: 25 years
