TELECOM TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
The Telecom Technician receives guidance from the Telecom Supervisor. His assignment relates to supporting all telecom/network infrastructures located in country. They will be rotator and so the job will involve travelling to field sites depending on operations requirements.
Ideal candidate profile:
Educational: Baccalaureate F3 (GCE in Electrotechnics) or F2 (GCE in Electronics) plus Technical degree in Telecommunication or Networking.
Professional experience and knowledge recommended:
- 02 years proven experience in diplomas in networking and or telecommunications work experience.
- Knowledge of radio, phone and systems
- Knowledge of network technologies and infrastructure
- Familiarity with installation and use of network monitoring tools
- Familiarity with Fiber Optics
- Familiarity with solar power systems
Skills and attributes required:
- Ability to communicate in English over the phone and via e-mail
- Good customer relations and people skill
- Task oriented and can work under strict deadlines and changing priorities
