The Manager Segments will be responsible for formulating and implementing marketing strategy for subscriber acquisition, growth and revenue generation in the target market segments. Supported through market analysis /data analysis and research.


Reporting to the Marketing director – Cameroon, the segment manager will have responsibility to:

  • Initially the segments manager will cover mass market and business enterprise segment and will be responsible for identifying the segment –and sizing the potential value of customers (corporate and consumer/mass market)
  • Analyze the products and services in both segments
  • Defining market requirement based on analysis, market research and interaction with prospective subscribers especially in the business enterprise segment
  • Increasing profitability in the consumer (mass market) and business enterprise segment
  • To develop innovative and value based propositions for the respective market segments. Ensuring all relevant product & service designed for the different market segments are covered in the propositions
  • Ensuring business profitability of the propositions and monitoring performance of the propositions
  • Develop the go to market strategy for the target market segment
  • Monitoring of products and services, subscriber usage, churn, revenue, ARPU and propose recommendations where necessary to develop the product and service roadmap per segment in line with the overall marketing strategy Develop and maintain MIS of competition and also in house subscriber information


The successful candidate will be willing to take on further responsibilities within a multinational organization and possess the following attributes:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant BSC; with demonstrated experience
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in similar position in Telecommunications
  • Telecommunications product knowledge, business processes, SLA's, KPI's and business rules
  • The ability to apply high-level analytical and creative problem-solving skills to optimize marketing opportunities
  • Skilled in market, data analysis, market research methods and approaches
  • Experience in analysis and interpreting data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – Bilingual (Proficient in English and French)
  • Ability to manage multiple activities with tight timelines from conception through execution
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database experience
  • Willingness to work long hours as and when required
  • Ability to think strategically and also execute hands-on tactical solutions
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment
