TRANSLATOR / INTERPRETER
A high profile Douala-based national company is seeking to recruit a Translator/interpreter capable of producing accurate, faithful and reliable translations and interpretations of texts and conversations. The position is open to candidates throughout the national territory.
Required abilities, skills and knowledge:
To be considered, you must:
- Be good in French and have a perfect mastery of the English language ;
- Have interpretation and / or translation skills;
- Be able to write accurately while scrupulously respecting the source language text;
- Have a spirit of analysis, intellectual curiosity, initiative, rigour and be methodical;
- Have a mastery of new translation tools;
- Have good in general knowledge;
- Be able to adapt to new situations and be available to work irrespective of time and geographical conditions;
- Have a team spirit;
- Have the ability to work under pressure;
- Be able to keep confidential information received during discussions and in any case, show total discretion.
Qualification :
You must :
- Hold the GCE A/L plus + 5 of further studies ;
- Have a mastery of Translation and Interpreting;
- Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Translating;
- Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Conference Interpreting;
- Have at least 5 years of experience in translation and interpretation.
