ROLE PURPOSE

Company Treasury Manager forms an integral part of Finance team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate financial control function within the business; with specific accountability for effectively managing the treasury function including: to assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer – OpCo Treasury Manager is responsible for:

  • Monitoring daily cash flows, understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash flow
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly cash flow forecast
  • Direct, monitor and trade investment portfolios including Working capital, High-Yield, Escrow, and other portfolios
  • Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies
  • Understand and manage appropriate accounting procedures and processes
  • Monitor bank service fees and address quality issues
  • Ensure that all the BusyInternet's bank accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and that outstanding items are followed up and cleared within 30 days
  • Ensure posting of entries from bank accounts including transfers, direct debit rejects and collections, bank charges, but may also include funds received from overseas, unsolicited receipts, etc. Co-ordinate with operating divisions to ensure that they are informed of such incoming funds and that action is taken in the appropriate system to allow correct accounting action and reconciliation
  • Manage day to day relationship with the BusyInternet's main bankers. Ensure that mandates correctly reflect the current authorities and that the BusyInternet is aware of current banking practices to improve efficiency of the function
  • Manage the company's debt portfolio, ensuring that covenants with lenders are kept
  • Undertakes the day-to- day administration and disbursement of petty cash payments by accurately recording entries and verifying expenditure documentation
  • Ensure supplier and other payments are made in a timely manner
  • Ensure payments are accounted for promptly and allocated in AP ledger
  • Ensure Loan principal and interest payments due are paid on time
  • To assist in obtaining best Foreign Exchange (FX) deals
  • Manage the Cash, Bank, Loans, Loan Interest and Exchange difference accounts on the Trial Balance
  • Reconcile and explain movements between periods on a monthly basis for the management reports
  • Produce commentary for inclusion in management reports
  • To ensure 100% compliance with existing internal controls and guidelines while guaranteeing complete and accurate reports of division's activities at all times

JOB REQUIREMENT

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or similarly relevant field and a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role:

  • Part qualified with a recognised professional accounting body such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the telecoms industry
  • Demonstrable experience of enterprise systems and computerised accounting packages including SAP
  • Highly organized and methodical
  • Capable of multi-tasking with excellent time management skills and a dedication to meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with an ability to solve problems
  • Demonstrable skills of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven strong ethics and personal integrity
