Job Description We are urgently looking for 2 Logging While Drilling (LWD) Engineers with at least 3 years of LWD experience preferred, for a permanent position for one of our clients. This project will take place in Cameroon. Candidates of any nationality will be considered. These are contract positions that offer a salary that is dependant on experience.
KEY DUTIES
To offer expertise and knowledge on the assembly and operation of downhole MWD and LWD systems.
To carry out training and to schedule any necessary training while on board the project, ensuring all IWCF approved staff are able to use and maintain any MWD systems and downhole tools that are required for the project.
Responsible for carrying out surveys and logging any system data using designated MWD systems.
Responsible for the safe testing and upgrading of equipment-related software used during the gathering of Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD) data.
To handle all equipment safely and responsible and to achieve results as outlined and expected by the end client and on-site supervisors, raising any queries with the responsible supervisors and superintendents as and when required.
Responsible for any staff carrying out assistance in the maintenance or logging of downhole tools, ensuring training and feedback is offered at appropriate times.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as an LWD Engineer on board an offshore project.
A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
A well endorsed background and good references are preferred.
Must be eligible to work in West Africa.
Good verbal and written communication in English.
