Title: Area Sales Manager Central Africa

Based at: Douala, CAMEROUN

Position reports to : Director Africa, Middle East and Overseas Territories, based in Paris (local reporting to the General Manager of Tokheim subsidiary in Cameroun)

Job summary: To plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities in Central Africa, so as to develop profitable sales of TOKHEIM range of products and services (Dispensers, Systems, Commercial fleet solutions) and strengthen business relationship with Customers and Distributors.

Key responsibilities and accountability:

  1. Plan and carry out sales and marketing activities through frequent trips in targeted countries
  2. Sets budgets/targets in agreement with Company plans and report achievement in a view to achieve or exceed the same. Be conversant and follow company’s procedure at all times
  3. Develop profitable Sales in the Region, improve margin and debt collection
  4. Specific focus on Nigeria (50% time)= Increase Tokheim’ market share in Nigeria

·Develop existing key accounts (Total, Oando, Forte Oil) and recruit new

·Target independent marketers with specific offers and business model

·Develop new revenue streams (systems, commercial fleet, non Tokheim equipments)

5.Manage, support and develop Tokheim distributors network in the region

6.Maintain and develop quality relationships with potential and existing customers

7.Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses. Be aware of regional market developments & strategies. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys

8.Make accurate, rapid cost calculations, and provide customers with quotations; Respond to and follow up sales enquiries in coordination with back office sales assistants

9.Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills

10.Comply with Group HSSE standards and business principles

11.Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

12.Ensure technical support coordination in collaboration with technical support staffs and managers and keep customers informed of the same.

Core product range: Dispensing pumps and related equipment and systems for service stations.

Target sectors: All Major, national and independent Oil Companies,

Territory: Nigeria, Cameroun, Tchad, République Centrafricaine, Guinea Equatorial, Gabon, République Démocratique du Congo (Brazzaville), République du Congo (Kinshasa), Sao Tome
