The Cameroon Women's Scholarship Programme 2014 offers one million fcfa to women with strong academic background, leadership potential and commitment to work for change, studying at masters level in Cameroon.
The British High Commission in Cameroon offers ten scholarships annually to young Cameroonian women with strong leadership potential and academic excellence. The scholarships are for masters degree studies in any of Cameroon's State Universities or reputable Higher Education Institutions.
Applicants should be young women with the potential and drive to make significant contributions towards the development of women and the development of Cameroon.
Eligible candidates will be registered on a Masters degree course in one of the following fields:
- Human Rights
- The Rule of Law & Governance
- Development Studies
- Science and Technology
- Media Management and Legislation
- Security (International Security / Security Management / Terrorism / Conflict Resolution / Peace Studies)
Interested candidates can apply online between 15th August and midnight on 30th November, following the guidelines downloadable below and from the British High Commission website.
There is no application fee.
Applicants may be taking courses in either English or French, but note that all applications, interviews and correspondence will be in English, successful applicants will have strong English language skills.
