Applications are invited for postdoctoral position available for international applicants for pursuing research program at University of Copenhagen. Applicants must have considerable programming experience, as well as a strong background in ML (preferably unsupervised, semi-supervised or transfer learning) or statistical NLP. Eligibility: In order to be considered for the position applicants must have research qualifications at least corresponding to what can be achieved as part of a successfully completed PhD within a relevant field. The applicant should have considerable programming experience, as well as a strong background in ML (preferably unsupervised, semi-supervised or transfer learning) or statistical NLP. Applicants that can document experience in both fields are preferred.

Scholarship Description: The Center for Language Technology, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) to be filled by January 1 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter. The postdoctoral position is available within the 5-year European Research Council Starting Grant project Parsing Low-Resource Languages and Domains (LOWLANDS) led by Associate Professor Anders Søgaard.

What does it cover? The post will be filled according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Additional bonuses may be negotiated on an individual basis.

Selection criteria: The postdoctoral researcher is expected to publish at the top international conferences or in the best journals in the field (including both NLP and ML), and previous publications in these venues will be emphasized when evaluating applications.
