Missions and Responsibilities:
|
- Provide psychological first aid to the callers who request for on phone crisis intervention counseling.
- Establishing rapport and encouraging the callers to provide the necessary details of the case to facilitate follow up.
- Assessing human service requirements via phone using crisis intervention and active listening skills.
- Searching computer database to provide appropriate social service provider referrals.
- Maintaining appropriate callers' documentation and sharing on daily basis (immediately for high risk urgent cases) with the GBV specialist for referral to the appropriate services.
- Acting as an actively contributing team member and supporting the mission and work of the organization.
- Participate in networking efforts by attending the relevant trainings, workshops and meetings or visiting other agencies.
- Developing effective working relations within the organization.
- Any other tasks that maybe assigned by the supervisor

Competences
|
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or other social sciences in a related field.
- Experience in various Social Service activities.
|
Technical and behavioral competencies required
|
- Ability to handle various types of calls.
- Ability to manage well with individuals of different backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate intelligibly in person as well as over the telephone
- Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
- Respect and non-discriminatory attitude, empathy
- Reporting skills
- Capacity to work under pressure
