Main objective
|
Missions and Responsabilities
- Conduct intake interviews with individuals identified by the team during outreach work or referred by other agencies, and open a case if vulnerability criteria are met
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and in collaboration with the beneficiary (and the guardian in case of a child), develop a case plan, tailored according to the needs identified during the assessment and process the case to closure in accordance with the case management guidelines
- Based on internal vulnerability criteria, identify different categories of beneficiaries to received assistance (Dignity kits, mama kits, core relief items, etc.)
- Follow up cases that received assistance (Dignity kits, mama kits, core relief items, etc.)
- Conduct home visits to assess beneficiaries' living conditions during comprehensive assessment and during case follow ups
- Organize internal case conference meetings and bring to immediate attention any case of special/emergency needs to the GBV Officer and to deliberate on cases due for closure; Attend external case conference meetings. Regularly meet with Protection Officer and GBV Officer to discuss about ongoing issues and strategy for the team
- Ensure documentation of cases on the internal case management platform, monitor and update regularly the progress of the case; Ensure proper and safe filing and archiving of case management physical files to maintain data confidentiality

Competences
|
- University degree in Psychology, social work and other related fields
- Minimum of 1year of relevant work experience with IDPs, Host communities and returnees.
- Experience working in the protection sector with an INGO, NGO and/or local authorities
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, outlook)
- Adaptability and readiness to carry out numerous field trips
- Analytical and reporting skills
- Respect and adherence to protection principles
- Capacity to work under pressure, flexibility
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Languages
|
English is the primary working language
Knowledge of French (written and spoken) is an asset
Pidgin an asset
|
Special Requirements
|
Residence in Buea / Bamenda will be considered an added advantage
|
