Scholarships for Emerging Countries in South America, Africa or Asia in Netherlands: 2013-2014 Friends of Maastricht University (UM) Scholarships for 2013 2014. Limburg/SWOL offers Scholarships for Master’s Students in the field of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University in Netherlands.

Eligibility:

The Friends Scholarship offers subsidies for young talented students participating in the Master Globalization and Development Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University starting in September 2013
Applicants should hold a passport from an emerging country in South America, Africa or Asia.

Scholarship Open for International Students: South American, African and Asian students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Friends of Maastricht University (UM) is an initiative of the University Fund Limburg/SWOL. The University Fund seeks private funding to allow talented international students to follow master’s programs at Maastricht University. Gifts and donations are brought together in the Friends Scholarship.

Duration of award: Scholarship is offered for 12 months.

What does it cover?  The scholarship is meant to be a contribution in the tuition fee of the master’s program at UM with a maximum of 12 months.

Selection criteria: For the scholarship assessment, the Scholarship Committee takes all elements of the application into account, including the level of previous study programmes, academic excellence, motivation, status of the home institution, the connection with the prior study programme, future career plans and the references.

How to Apply: Please download the application form of the Friends scholarship of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. To be included in this scholarship procedure, you first need to be admitted to the master’s programme, which means that you have to submit a complete master’s and scholarship application by the scholarship deadline 1 March at the latest.

Please include your scholarship application in your master’s application and upload this document in the category ‘Apply for Scholarship’ in My UM. We will not be able to take your application into consideration if we receive it via regular mail or e-mail.
