The JJ/WBGSP has four separate but related programs, each with its own application process: the Regular Program, English-language Programs in Japan, Partnership Programs, and the Japanese Nationals Program. For each of these programs, it is important that you read carefully the application procedure as outlined in documents below:

How to Apply

The students of World Bank member country can apply for this scholarship.

Regular Program

  • Applicants are strongly encouraged to use our on-line application form available in  English, French, or Spanish 
  • If applicants are unable to apply on line, pdf files can be downloaded from this website

Please note that applicants are encouraged to seek admissions in institutions listed in the website under Preferred Universities 2013-2014.

Paper copies of completed applications and all required supporting documents should be sent to:

Applications sent by fax or e-mail are not accepted.

The application together with ALL supporting documentation must be received in the Scholarship Program Office by the deadline of March 31, 2013. Applicants should make the necessary provision to ensure receipt of their application package before the deadline. The program Secretariat is not responsible of any possible delay in mail delivery.

Due to the large volume of paperwork handled by the JJ/WBGSP Secretariat, it is not possible to respond to telephone or mail requests regarding the status of applications.

APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF RESULTS BY THE END OF JULY 2013.

This application form is not valid for the English-language Programs in Japan and Partnership Programs. For more information about these other programs, please use the links above or those in the left-hand navigation.
