La Trobe University offers postgraduate research scholarships in Australia. In 2014 La Trobe University will award over 150 living allowance scholarships to candidates enrolling in Doctoral and Masters by research programs and approximately 40 fees awards to meet tuition costs for international students. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2013 for Australian and New Zealand citizens and 30 September 2013 for overseas applicants.

Study Subject(s): While applications are open to any area of study, La Trobe University would be particularly interested in applications within the research focus areas of: Building Healthy Communities, Securing Food, Water and the Environment, Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation, Transforming Human Societies and Understanding Disease.

Eligibility:

  • La Trobe University’s postgraduate research program includes Doctoral and Masters degrees by research.
  • Applicants for Doctoral candidature should have completed an Honours Bachelor degree at a very high level of achievement or already hold a Masters degree.
  • Applicants for Masters by research candidature are usually required to have completed an Honours degree or Masters Preliminary.
  • Prospective local applicants for Doctoral and Masters by research degrees should contact the Faculty in which they wish to study to ascertain the availability of supervision and to obtain an application kit.
  • International students should contact the La Trobe International Office or visit the University’s International web site for information about application procedures and study opportunities at La Trobe University.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Scholarships are available for Australian and New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and international students.
