SMU Cox School of Business offers MBA scholarships each year based on individual merit and achievement. The Cox MBA Program provides scholarship awards to approximately half of its students, with awards ranging from 10-100% of tuition and fees. The performance on the GMAT scores will also be included at the time of funding the scholarship. Scholarships are awarded for the entire two-year period, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Eligibility: Admission to the Cox MBA Program is highly selective. The Admissions Committee seeks a diverse group of candidates demonstrating the following attributes:

Successful applicants typically have several years of full-time work experience, a strong undergraduate academic record, and competitive scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). You should be computer literate, with a basic understanding of e-mail, the Internet, and spreadsheets. Although not required, we strongly recommend that you also have a working knowledge of calculus, accounting, statistics, and microeconomics.

Notification: Round 1: The admissions committee expects to notify all Round 1 applicants of their admission decision by December 20. Round 2: The admissions committee expects to notify all Round 2 applicants of their admission decision by March 1. Round 3: The admissions committee expects to notify all Round 3 applicants of their admission decision by April 20. Round 4: The admissions committee expects to notify all Round 4 applicants of their admission decision by June 10.
How to apply: All candidates who apply by March 5 (Round 3 deadline) are automatically considered for merit scholarships. To be eligible, candidates must submit their application, including all pieces (transcripts, GMAT, TOEFL, essays, etc.), by the scholarship deadline of March 5, 2014 (Round 3 deadline). They strongly encourage students to apply in Round 1 or Round 2 if possible.
