CUIB offers 12 HND scholarships

To foster community responsibility,the community inclined and entrepreneurial university, CUIB is providing 12 Higher National Diploma (HND) fee scholarships to underprivileged children from villages around Buea sub-division of the South West Region of Cameroon. This was made public in the first ever CUIB community stakeholders meeting which took place recently at the Molyko Campus of the institution.

Rev.Fr. George Nkeze, President of CUIB noted in his welcome message that CUIB was created by the Chancellor, His Lordship Bishop Immanuel Bushu to train a new generation of young, dynamic, talented and problem solving entrepreneurs with moral and spiritual values that will transform and bring sustainable development to their communities.”

The meeting was aimed at enlightening community stakeholders of what the Catholic University Institute of Buea is all about:- its vision and mission and also to tell them of its progress as a professional and hands-on university graduating its first batch of Seniors, the "Batch of Hope" come December 6th 2014.

The community stakeholders expressed profound joy and appreciation to the institution for its achievements in its four years of existence.

"I was privileged to attend the entrepreneurial fair the University organized last year and I happened to have bought the 'Moringa' soap produced by Engineering students. I tell you it has been worth using and I want more." Mrs. Biaka Francisca, President of the South West Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting saw the participation of the Divisional Officer of Buea, the paramount chief, the delegate for scientific Research and Innovation amongst other chiefs and government officials.
