A Memorandum of understanding has been signed between Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences, KTUAS and Bamenda University of Science and Technology, BUST. The objective of the memorandum of understanding is to establish cooperation in order to develop strategic partnership between both institutions.

A) OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the memorandum of understanding is to establish cooperation in order to develop strategic partnership between both institutions.

B) STRATEGIES:

The cooperation shall be guided by the following goals:

  1. KTUAS to help improve working-life orientation at BUST(staff and students on how to accept change and adapt to new approaches).
  2. KTUAS to help Update BUST degree programmes.
  3. Staff and students exchange between BUST and KTUAS.
  4. KTUAS to help build equipment capacity of BUST degree programmes.
  5. KTUAS to help build entrepreneurial skills of staff on the delivery of entrepreneurial learning.
  6. Build a good customer service and work life orientation for staff, students and the community.
  7. BUST to give students of KTUAS an exposure to international business and culture an open culture and open Africa to Finland
  8. KTUAS and BUST to jointly develop projects and source project funding.
  9. The provision of joint degrees between both Institutions
  10. KTUAS to offer selected courses at BUST.

C) FIELDS OF EXCHANGE

The fields of exchange between both institutions shall include the following:

1) Information and Communications Technology.ICT

a) Programme mentoring.

b) Sourcing used ICT equipment.

c) Sourcing free software.

d) Developing ICT laboratory.

e) Exchanging and upgrading courses.

f) Establishing Certificate-based course .

- Student and staff development.

- Student-Peer support in programme development.

2) Business

a) Programme mentoring.

b) Developing ICT laboratory and business management.

c) Establishing certificate-based courses.

d) Exchanging and upgrading courses.

e) Building entrepreneurial programme.

f) Sourcing free business software

3) Health Care

a) Programme mentoring.

b) Developing health care laboratory.

c) Sourcing health care equipment.

d) Sourcing free health care software.

e) Developing Electronic health applications.

g) Exchanging and upgrading courses.
