Dschang, UDs/SIC, 25/11/14. Last October 28-30th 2014, the beautiful city of Baku hosted the 1stever global forum on youth policies, which culminated with the launching of the Baku Commitments on Youth Policies. From among the 200 candidates selected from the 4700 applicants, the University of Dschang was ably represented by Mr. Mbuih Zukane as a youth policy expert.
This legendary global event was co-organized by the Office of the UNSecretary General's Envoy on Youth, UNDP, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe, with the support of youthpolicy.org and hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Azerbaijan. The forum brought together over 700 participants from 165 countries, with a strong participation of ministers responsible for youths, as well as experts, youth advocates, civil society representatives, United Nations representatives and international and regional organizations.
Representing the University of Dschang, with total support from the Rector, Pr Anaclet FOMETHE, Mr. Mbuih Zukane was part of a four man delegation from the Republic of Cameroon, made up of the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC) Dr Ismael BIDOUNG MKPATT, Mrs NGEH Rikia Nfunfu, Director of Cooperation and Statistics, MINJEC, and Mrs Tah EDWAN Ngum, head juvenile detention and advocacy program human right focus Cameroon.
